Ben 10 birthday invite

I designed this birthday invite for my son's 5th birthday as these days he is a big BIG fan of Ben 10.

What I liked about this design was that the number 5 can be replaced with any other number depending on the age of the birthday child. It is not specific for any age.

RajK asked me if I can help her design a blog header for her after seeing my works at other blogs. I replied to her in affirmation. And then I asked her about what she would want. She replied back saying -

"I'm not very good at design and stuff...but let me tell you a little bit about what I like..

I like travelling, reading, movies, music, photography etc....My dream is to travel all over India...I'd love to have pictures of not-so-famous Indian monuments/places of interest on my blog with some info about it...For starters...

As for colors, I want the background of the text itself light-colored...it's very difficult on the eyes to read white/light letters against a dark background...so....

anything else...just use your imagination and skill....and let me know if you have any questions..."

Based on this email I asked her to send me some of the pics which she would like me to use and after exchange of a couple of mails, the design was all ready.

Must say she was a customer who was quite easy to satisfy. She loved the first design I sent her and accepted that.

G mailed me complimenting me on my previous design works and asked if I can do one for her too. I responded back saying "Sure!" and asked her about what kind of design would she want. She replied back "I am a software pro from Bombay. A total fitness/sports freak, used to be a long distance swimmer in my teens. Give me a book and I will look up only when I am done reading. I binge on chocolate and coffee. I am typically like any other girl my age is... maybe a little more outdoorsy..have trekked /travelled a lot."

Besides this she wanted me to use the color whose hex code is 'AD568A' as this was one of her favorites currently. And the above design is what I came up with using her inputs.

I had designed another one for her, a bit on the artsy kinds, which she decided to keep for the next time. And that design is:

Mimi's main specifications was usage of flowers and some pink effect. Although the header was designed for a different blog title, so the header shall be designed again to match the current blog title.

After designing blogger templates for so many fellow bloggers, I finally got down to making one for the blog that I keep for my son, Anirudh.

Since his fav character these days is Ben 10, thats the theme I have used for this blog.

I've been wanting to change my blog design since a long time and this is the testing ground for trying out various designs before I actually change it on my main blog.

I like the design but I don't like the fact that my Blogger navbar which has quick links to "New Post", "Customise" etc disappear when I try to implement a new design. Anybody has any idea how to get it back?
